- The Armenian Youth Center hosted its 3rd Annual Pumpkin Patch Day event on October 15, 2017. The weather was beautiful, many families with their children attended and enjoyed a fun day of many activities including hay ride to pick up pumpkins. Helpful volunteers cooked and served delicious kebobs, and for dessert everyone enjoyed the yummy cotton candy. Thanks for all those that attended the event and supported AYC with their generous donations.
- On Sunday, May 21, 2017 Soorp Khatch Armenian Apostolic Church held a special membership meeting. The purpose of this meeting was to vote on a proposal to provide a $600,000 loan to the Armenian Youth Center (AYC) to help launch the infrastructure phase of construction for our future home in Darnestown, Maryland. Our membership voted overwhelming (48 to 10) in support of authorizing a line of credit to the AYC for up to 3 years to help jump start this important endeavor. Our vote now goes to the Prelacy Executive Council for their review and consideration.
